What is Legal City?
Legal City is South Africa’s premier online legal services portal. We provide a wealth of legal information online at both community and subscriber levels.
All visitors to our web site are welcome to make use of our many and varied community services free of charge. This includes the ability to browse our Legal Magazine with its specialist legal articles, use our Web Directory to find links to other legal resources on the Internet, participate in our topic-based Discussion Forums, or use our other information services at your leisure.
In addition to our community services we also provide registered users with access to a number of premier services. These include:
- access to the records of the South African Registrar of Companies where they are able to search for registered company and director details;
- a Deed Search service which provides access to the South African Registrar of Deeds;
- a partnership with TransUnion credit bureau allowing users to conduct credit enquiries on consumers and businesses;
- a partnership with XDS credit bureau who facilitate online consumer tracing;
- and, debtor management facilities which include the ability to send collection letters as well as list and de-list defaulting debtors with the credit bureaux.
Although a large portion of the information published on Legal City is available free of charge, our premier services are accessed on a pay-per-view based using Legal Credits - there are no monthly subscriptions or minimum amounts payable - you only pay for the information you want.
