Accommodation Agencies
Help with finding a place to live
Looking for a house or flat to rent can be dispiriting and exhausting, especially if you are new to an area. You can cut out a lot of unnecessary legwork by making inquiries at the various accommodation agencies or bureaux which operate in the larger cities. A list of such agencies can be found in the yellow pages of local telephone directories.
Many of them have computerised lists of available flats and houses which they will let you have for a set fee; others will charge you a fee once they have found you a house or flat. If you register with one of them, make sure that you are fully aware at the outset what the charges are. (See contracts; hotels; renting.)
