Artificial Insemination
When is it allowed?
A gonad, once removed from a living person, may not be used in the body of another
person if procreation could result, unless the Minister of Health has granted written
authority in advance.
Only a medical practitioner, a dentist or a person acting under his or her supervision
may remove tissue (which includes a gamete) from the body of a living person or use or
transplant it in the body of another living person. (See surrogate motherhood; test-tube baby.)
